OCTOBER 2010

Hello!

He has arrived ladies and gentleman! On the 3rd at 1558 we became
the very proud parents of Charlie. When I say we, I don't mean Jon
but Kerry and I. Life has somehow altered, it's fantastic.
So, from a sleepy room I am trying to organise the beginning of next
year which hopefully from February will be full of lovely things.

At the end of September a good start was made on the next album
which is in a very embryonic state at the moment but is on it's way
none the less.

The other albums are available from the shop to the right or from
or from CDBaby and Itunes for digital downloads.
At Coroprate records you can even get the Friends in the night EP
which has been unavailable for years

Currently we are also looking for a full time bass player as Kerry
has had to call it a day due to maternal responsibilities. She will still
however be playing with Philip Jeays and Pog.

JANUARY 2011

Hello and a belated Happy New Year to you all.

Jon and I have had a busy January rehearsing with our
new bass player, Alex Crees. Things have been going
really well and our first gig is this Saturday with Eastfield
at the Duke of Wellington in Shoreham. This does mean
that new photos have to be taken and so we'll be popping
them on here very soon.

The new album is progressing nicely. We will be going in
and recording some more songs with Alex shortly, so far
there are 6 that are just about finished.

JULY 2010

Hello and welcome.
There is some rather exciting news that has just come to pass.
For a few years now people have been asking about the Friends
in the night ep which dissapeared a while ago and thanks to our
friends at Corporate Records it is now available as a download.
So you can now rock along to the 1996 release which features -
1.Friends in the night 2.Sand 3.Poison pen & 4. Dream on.
If you would like to order it then please click on the link below

There are a few more gigs coming up which is fantastic and only a
couple of months before I become a Dad. It so amazingly exciting
but it does mean we lose Kerry in the band so any Brighton based
bass players?

MAY 2010

Here we are nearly half way through the year already!
Having finally returned from Peru after being stranded by the
volcano and forced to surf in the Pacific, it's time for some playing.
There have been a few cancellations which is disheartening and
we have to find a new bass player for later in the summer but on
the plus side the reason Kerry is leaving is because she's going to
have a baby in October. Very exciting indeed. A family grows.
Kerrys last gig is due to be at the Blyth Power Ashes, if not before.
So, we have to get a wriggle on finding a replacement.

JANUARY 2010
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.
I really hope you're enjoying this weather.
If this year you would like us to come and play near you get in touch.

OCTOBER 2009
Can you believe it? We're here.
The next couple of months are a bit quiet but December is looking
pretty good, lots of lovely gigs for playing new songs, trying to off
load the new album and going to places we haven't been for a
while, like Lincoln.
You may see me riding around the lanes of Sussex running in my
rebuilt Bantam engine surrounded by a plume of lovely smelling
blue exhaust, if you do, give us a wave. This has recently also
become the subject of a song.

AUGUST 2009
The year has flown by and already we're off to search for signs
of Gerald Durrel. It's holiday time and off to Corfu which is really
exciting.
I will be off to a new gig in Claygate near Esher in Surrey and then a
return to the glorious Channel Island of Alderney. I'd better prepare
my Desert island discs just in case I get stranded again. Later in the
month Kerri, is off to Edinburgh with Philip Jeays and then we're all
meeting up for the Blyth Power Ashes at the end of August.
John and I will be playing drums and guitar for Anal Beard over the
end of August and beginning of September. Then after that I shall
hopefully be knuckling down and getting some more gigs.

JUNE 2009
Trying to catch the rain is selling pretty well and had quite a good
reception. Thanks to everyone that has bought one so far. They are
available in the shop to the right of the screen. Click on the picture
and take it from there.
Over the summer there aren't a great many gigs but the ones that
there are, I'm really looking forward to.
Enjoy the sunshine, hope to see you at one of the coming shows

APRIL 2009
As the sun is beaming down on us on this lovely Monday afternoon
I can exitedly inform you that this morning everything went off to the
printers for the brand new album, Trying to catch the rain.
We are now taking pre-orders as you can see in the shop to your left.
I am however erring on the side of caution and preparing for a three
week turn around so as it's now March 30th I am going to hazard a
guess that it will be available from April 20th. If it arrives before hand
it'll be a bonus. I can't wait.
To order a copy please click on the cover in the shop and pay with
Paypal or if you would rather pay by cheque then please email me
and I will send you all the relevant details.

MARCH 2009
Well the sun is shining and things are looking lovely.
The new album should be out in the latter part of next month which
is very exciting and in a short while there will be a pre-sale link in the
shop to the left.
Enjoy the Spring
!

January 2009
Happy New Year to you all.
The beginning of the year is very quiet there are several reasons for
this. One is that Kerri is off playing double bass for Phil Jeays who is
on tour with comedian Robin Ince over the next few months.
Another is that it's the beginning of the year and it's normally a bit
quiet. However this has meant that we have been able to finish the
recording. There is now just the mixing to get done, more news will
follow soon.
There are some fun things in the distance though and of course a
gig with TV Smith next month.

September 08
The gig front is looking quite bleak at the moment but this hopefully
means we can get the album recording started and finished
between now and the end of the year. We arein on October 11th and
12th and between then and now will be airing a few songs that we
haven't played live so that they can be ready. I can't wait to start.

April 08

At the moment preperations are under way for the upcoming stint of
gigs and upon our return from Hull, rehearsals will be started for
recording the next album which with any luck will be started in the
next couple of months. At the moment we have to find somewhere to
do it and some money to do it with but...

June 08
The summer is coming in and we've had some late minute
gigs added to the gigs page on the left. The up and coming
Glastonwick Beer Festival is looking great, for more
information go to GLASTONWICK. Also the Blyth Power
Ashes go to BLYTH POWER.
Later in the summer fingers crossed we shall be diving into
a studio somewhere to do the next album. The songs are
waiting it's just the time and place that needs to be sorted
out. There will hopefully be more news soon.

We have tried to make this as concise and as easy to use as
possible. We hope you like it.
